And the reason why we're cooler is because of cloud cover and the potential to be even cooler on Friday due to a complete overcast showers being likely thunderstorms as well. And then for Thursday, we could be looking at an overcast or mostly cloudy skies with a small chance for some showers and storms. So for tomorrow across the state dry for us, 88 in Raleigh, 88 in Fayetteville, 88 at Wilmington, 75 in Boone. Thursday night and Friday bringing us what looks like it could be a decent chance for rain. And we're also going to watch the storm system develop across the top of the ridge that will move into the area. That's where heat index values are going to be cranking up to about 112 around the Dallas area tomorrow afternoon. Shut it off to the west across the plain. And the reason why we've dried out, we see the upper level flow coming in from the north and west. 88 is our high, but with dew points in the upper fifties to low sixties, it should actually feel pretty decent. It will feel pretty good for the beginning of August. ![]() We're up to about 76 and hour by hour for your Wednesday. 65 is the low, but some of the normal cooler rural areas could be in the upper fifties to low sixties by 10 a.m. Starting off your Wednesday full sunshine. and then tomorrow afternoon should be a little, little less humid than what we experienced today.
